Red Line Hockey Tips

The Detroit Red Wings announced today that that they have signed defenseman Nick Jensen to an entry level two year term. The team did not disclose any of the terms associated with the signing, which is the policy of the team in matters as such.

Nick Jensen, age 22, was a 5^th round pick in 2009. He weighs in at 195lbs and is 6’1. The last three years he played for the St. Cloud State Huskies of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association and appeared in a total of 119 games earning 85 points.

Jensen, who hails from Rogers, Minnesota, played in 42 games with St Cloud in the 2012/2013 season and collected 31 points. He was named the 2012/2013 WCHA Defensive Player of the Year and also earned WCHA honors.
